CESVIMAP personnel were present in Stuttgart in Germany at the presentation of the new Mercedes models C Class and Smart ForTwo. During the presentation, the results obtained from the RCAR standard front and rear 15 kph crash tests on the vehicles were analysed. Aspects relating to the repairability of these models and improvements introduced to their design to reduce damage and post-crash repair costs were also studied. The participants in the event, from research centres in Great Britain, France, Germany and Spain, also had the chance to carry out an on-road test drive with both models.

Both vehicles will reach the Spanish market during spring 2007.
