On the 12th April, John De Courcy and Patrick
Hom, representing DUX Europe ltd part of the American company DUX,
visited CESVIMAP to show their application equipment with laminar
flow technology. Laminar flow, sometimes known as streamline flow,
occurs when a fluid flows in parallel layers, with no disruption
between the layers. So turbulences in the fluid are reduced (in the
case of spraygun, is the compressed air) improving characteristics
of the application, specially transfer efficiency ratio.
After presenting their company, the laminar flow technology and the
characteristics of the spraygun, the workshop continued with a
practical session in the bodyshop.
By means of several tests the particularities of the equipment in
regulation, handling, yield, and finish were known.
During the next few months the technicians at CESVIMAP painting
department, will carry out several tests with the loaned equipment
with the purpose of analysing and evaluating the different
advantages that the spraygun and its technology can contribute in
the refinishing market.
