Crash tests

Motorcycles
In 1991, CESVIMAP designed a standard crash test for motorcycles, a unique experience at a worldwide level. The motorcycle, which is stationary, is tilted 10º to the left, with the steering turned completely to the right, and receives a frontal impact from a moveable barrier, at 15 kph. After the crash, the damage can be observed, falling largely on the front wheel assembly and on external coverings.
Carrying out a controlled speed crash test makes it possible to catalogue a vehicle of these characteristics in insurance terms without the only parameters in use being the price and cubic capacity. The damageability index and the constructive suggestions for manufacturers are the results of this test.
