Crash tests

Passenger Cars
Two crash tests, one frontal and the rear, show how passenger cars behave in a crash situation. The vehicle crashes, along 40% of its left front part, against an undeformable concrete wall, weighing 35 tons. In the rear crash test, a mobile barrier, weighing 1,400 kilos, “rear-ends” 40% of the rear right surface area of the vehicle, stationary at that moment.
In both tests, the speed at the moment of impact is 15+1-0 kph, as specified by RCAR (Research Council for Automobile Repair), the worldwide organization of automobile repair research centres, of which Cesvimap is a member.
