TRAINING

COMFORP

COMFORP Foundation, together with the collaborating companies, including CESVIMAP, participates with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports in the development of the Transport and Maintenance of Vehicles Vocational Training professional family. A relevant step in the relationship between educational centres and companies, through the evaluation and training of students with new skills, knowledge and practical skills.

CESVIMAP, which participates as a jury in the National Vocational Training Spainskills Olympics organised by COMFORP, offers its knowledge and practices to the students, who, after the national events, will compete worldwide in the annual WorldSkills International awards.

This CESVIMAP contribution to Vocational Training is in addition to the donation of material to Secondary Schools (IES) so that their students can carry out real practices (both of parts -alternators, engines- and bodywork, auxiliary machinery and bodywork and painting tools).

Visits to the CESVIMAP facilities in Avila, with technical-divulgative workshops on electric cars and carbon fibre repair, and attendance at the CESVIMAP Chair of the Catholic University of Avila’s series of Conferences also contribute to the training of future professionals in the sector.

FORTECO

The FORTECO program (Coordinated Technical Training for Automotive Teachers) trains teachers from the Vocational Training centers of the Vehicle Transport and Maintenance branch. FORTECO was born in 2006, with the aim of solving the need for training and recycling of existing knowledge in the sector. Since then, the project has had the collaboration of the main automotive manufacturers, research and training centers such as CESVIMAP, the Autonomous Communities and the Ministry of Education.
Since the launch of this successful initiative, thousands of teachers have updated their knowledge in the automotive area, attending seminars and specific courses. The final objective of the program is to adapt the level of the professors of the Vocational Training centers to the current technological state of the sector.
The companies integrated in FORTECO, such as CESVIMAP, outline by common agreement the annual offer of seminars and courses for teachers, which are subsequently sent to those responsible for the program in the different Autonomous Communities, who, in turn, they inform their VET institutes and centers. The courses, free of charge, are given in the training centers of each of the manufacturers that are part of the program.
FORTECO has been recognized internationally by the VETAS network ( Vocational Education and Training in the Automotive Sector ), of the European Commission, with the VETAS Innovation Award for the most innovative initiative in the automotive sector in Europe, for its proven excellence, impact and innovation in the automotive sector.
